AMC Theaters is applying variable pricing for “The Batman,” which means that, depending on demographics, a single ticket to watch Matt Reeves’ 3-hour epic could cost you $29. That’s how much singlet tickets are going for right now in New York’s Upper West Side [via Showbiz411]. An hour north, in Port Chester, New York, the price is $23. Up in Chicago, a ‘Batman’ ticket is priced at $23.17. The Grove in West Hollywood has it going for $19.99, just 70 cents more than Miami, Florida. Madness. Paying $30 to watch “The Batman,” not to mention all the costs that come with transportation and concessions just doesn’t sound appealing at all. Oh, and the irony of it all, as Roger Friedman puts it, is that the film is about vengeance against corporations and billionaires. You can’t make this stuff up. Contribute Hire me
