Krasinski was very open, even during press for the original about how he was open to exploring the wider world he had created, but was unsure at the time whether he would be back in the director’s chair. Here we are two years later, let’s hope the man, one reaction labelled, with “Spielberg-level chops” can re-capture the nerve shredding, ridiculously palpable tension of the original. The film follows the remaining members of the Abbott family (led by Emily Blunt) as they are forced to venture out into the dangerous world, where they discover that the deadly creatures from the first film are not the only thing out to harm them.
