Now, much like every movie year, there is news that Le Clint is already set to direct a new movie, which could potentially be released next year This would be his 37th film as a director. The man is a beast. Deadline is reporting that he is set to direct and star in this new film, titled Cry Macho, for Warner Bros. While it’s unknown about a start date or when it might get released, sources are saying Eastwood has already begun scouting locations for the shoot and that it could very well be ready for release by next winter. Based on the book, the film will star Eastwood as a “onetime rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder who, in 1978, takes a job from an ex-boss to bring the man’s young son home and away from his alcoholic mom. Crossing rural Mexico on their back way to Texas, the unlikely pair faces an unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world-weary horseman may find his own sense of redemption through teaching the boy what it means to be a good man.” N. Richard Nash, who wrote the novel “Cry Macho”, penned the script along with Nick Schenk. Last year’s “The Ballad of Richard Jewell” may not have lit up the box-office, but it proved to be a formidable statement from Eastwood. He’s built up a considerable fanbase over the years. His name is now synonymous and represents many values within his base, they will go see whatever movie he directs or stars in just purely based on those beliefs (“Gran Torino,” The 15:17 to Paris,” American Sniper,” “Sully”). However, more importantly, these last few films proved Eastwood could still make movies at the twilight of his life and career. Contribute Hire me
